strings and Debian

I was looking at Windows-targeted viruses this afternoon, and I was
hoping to run "strings" on the file.  However, "strings" isn't on
my system, nor is it available as a Debian package.  Does anyone know
where I might find my missing "strings"?

Here's the output of uname -a, if it matters:
