Motherboard recommendation?

Very interesting that people are having problems with the 3Com 940
chips. I have an Asus P4P800 with the identical chip and have had no
problems with either the driver from the Asus website or the new sk98lin
module in the 2.6 kernels. If you follow the thread you linked to the
end, you will see that the new sk98lin driver solves the problem even in
the 2.4 kernels.

As for the P4R800, it uses some Radeon LAN chip which I have never heard
about.
