Widescreen X on Linux

Hi,

I'm trying to get a system up using a wide-screen monitor. The optimal
resolution is 1280x768. Does any one have any experience with this.
Right now i've not selected hardware to run this. Ideally i'm hoping to
find a Micro-ATX motherboard with onboard video that is able to support
1280x768 on linux. Any recommendations and experiences doing this would
be extremely useful.
