I used to run a P166 as FIREWALL/ROUTER (Redhat 6, 2 NICs, 32MB RAM, 2GB
hdd) 4 years ago. The used P166 cost me $300. Nowadays router is so cheap
that I simply replaced it with a SMC router.

I run a 486/66 48M/18G as a firewall/router/ackup box for my parents.
One of the few 486's I have worked with that does support IDE disks up
to 137G and has more than 8/16M ram. :)
