MDK10 community cardmgr "no sockets found"

This worked one time. I was able too see the network card, ( wireless
orinoco gold ) set it up and use it. Now, nothing. Tried a D-link LAN card
but still
the same thing.

cardctl ident  returns open_sock (): no such device

Any ideas?
