When Sympatico works, it works really well. When it doesn't, well, do your own
tech support.
I particularly dislike their 310-SURF. I am going through a multiport router
(which is really a 1-port router with 8 switches), and if I have trouble with
the connection, they tell me to disconnect my router and install their damned
software with the modem connected to one of my computers. I say that is not
helpful on several levels, not least of which I have three networked computers.
How can they access the printer on my machine if I disconnect it from the
router?
After a few more minutes of talking and after my stubborn refusal to have to
mutilate my network to get Sympatico to work, we hang up with them being of
utterly no help whatsoever.
