Hello everyone,
I am looking for an open-source system for distributing a book along
with other multimedia features on a CD. The idea is to be able to put
some written/multimedia content (preferable in PDF format, or converted
from PDF) onto a CD, and have it readable on any modern
computer/operating system (Windows 98,2000,XP, Linux, MacOS). The
program should present a nice interface to the material, perhaps with
additional features such as bookmarks, etc.
The software doesn't have to create the actual e-book, I am just looking
for a program to put on the CD to read the final product.
The program should be opensource and free, but I would also like to hear
of any semi-open/non-free solutions. They can be incomplete/under
development too. Perhaps even several programs that can be put together
to perform this task.
Thanks in advance.
