Here' s a security scenario I'd like to see on my computers;

1) my /home/david/ uses an encrypted file system.
The key is a very low capacity (small & cheap) USB key.
It has the bulk of the passphrase on it,
and without it in place at boot time,
only one script will run:

    ohp.sh

or whatever the author decides to call it ..

it keeps coming up with an ugly, but clear CURSES option screen

START GRAPHICAL INTERFACE
CONNECT TO INTERNET
GAMING MODE

Any of these options will result in another plain info screen
that instructs the user to connect the phone cable to an outlet,
and hit ENTER

When a dialtone is recognized,
    startx
and the routine quickly sets up a new user
with some sexy desktop
and a program setup dialog that asks for all sorts of personal
information to "customize" the interface.

Meanwhile, the dialer has been logging onto a central security site that
sets off alarms, transmits the caller ID and logs anything the user is
willing to input.

No, it's not a new idea, but shouldn't this be an open source staple ?
I bet several of the list layabouts could bang this baby off in an
afternoon !

I know it would be a hit !
just a thought,
djp
