I would like to offer a round of applause for Emma Jane Hogbin and her
presentation at the June 22nd NewTLUG meeting. I gather that the
presentation was put together in very short order and she pulled it off very
well. More to the point (and this was pretty sad) was that at the start of
the talk there were a total of FOUR people in the room (and yes this
includes Ms. Hogbin). By the end of the meeting the total number of people
in the room had climbed to 6, all quite sad.

Having done NewTLUG presentations (and one TLUG presentation (a LONG time
ago)) (arguably not well) before I know it can be scary looking at a crowd
of a few dozen people, on the other hand a "crowd" of just three borders on
the insulting.

Well to help encourage people for the next TLUG and NewTLUG meeting I will
plan on having free stuff, at this last NewTLUG meeting I had and gave out
to all who wanted them posters promoting the game "Unreal Tournament 2003",
which it should be noted was released for Linux the SAME day it was released
for Windows (possibly a first in the game industry). I will plan on having
some of those posters for next TLUG, and please folks do come out.

So again a round of applause for Emma Jane Hogbin.
