Damian Conway giving 2 free public talks in Toronto, July 17 & 19, 2004

Hello everyone...

In case you've heard this through the rumour mill already, there's no longer any
need for speculation:  Damian Conway will be coming to Toronto next month (July
2004) to give two free public talks.  The details regarding Damian, his talks,
and his work for the Perl community worldwide can be found at:

Note that this is *the* event of the year for the Toronto Perl Mongers, and it
has been very well-received by the TLUG crowd in the past as well.  We've had
him in the city to do this twice in the past in 2001 and 2002, and both
occasions were huge successes (e.g. several hundred people attended each talk).
 In case I haven't said it clearly enough already...

         COME OUT TO THESE TALKS.  YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID.

Donations
=========

I am still looking for donations to support Damian in his trip to Toronto to
give these talks as well as to support Damian's work for Perl in general.  A lot
of people in the Toronto Perl community have already been very generous with
their donations.  This is an opportunity for everyone (people *and* companies)
to participate in the enlightened self-interest of supporting Perl through
supporting one of its foremost personalities.  Please contact me if you can help
