make dep error

Hi Jim,

I assume you are talking about compiling a Linux kernel (from the
reference to xconfig and make dep).

You actually have to do a 'make dep' before you do 'make modules' or any
other operation, so you did the right thing :). Just go ahead with 'make
modules'.

For the record, you can just do a 'make clean' "undo" 'make dep' or any
other make. You can also use 'make mrproper' which will erase all
changes to the sources, including your 'make xconfig'.
