Email money transfers

Sorry, not Linux, at least not on the surface.  I recently encountered one of 
us that apparently hasn't heard of an email money transfer.  I deal at TD 
Canada Trust and yes, I know that the Royal Bank boycotted the transactions 
because of a great loss in Western Union etc etc etc but none of that really 
matters.  I would just like someone else to simply verify that the email 
money transfer process is 100% secure and legitimate.  Thanks.
