how to increase existing partition ?

hi,

i set up /usr directory too small, now it run out of space. i have spare space  around in the same
drive. how do i add it to /usr ?

here is du -h and fdisk -l output:

i thought of creating a new ext3 filesystem from 655 to 788, and copy all content of /usr  to it.
then mount the new drive as /usr. 

is it doable ?  what are other good choices ?
