Curious. I also use eol at home, have a speed touch and a fixed 
IP but do see a number of disconnections each month.  Service is
otherwise reliable.

Customer support experience at eol seems to vary.  Some know 
Linux, some don't.  When I emailed them a few months ago to 
ask them if they supported pop over ssh, they first asked me 
what it was and then took a day or two to figure out they 
didn't support it..
