I've heard a few variations of the story (charged, pecked, bitten;
Australia, Antarctica) that make me wonder if this is just folklore.
Can anyone point me at a reliable source?

PS: A search for "Torvalds" on snopes.com turned up nothing.  I don't know
how reliable that is, though.
