The site is using an (obsolete) Mircosoft-only authentication mechanism
called NTLM (NT loadable module). Most non-IE browsers do not (and
probably will not) support it.
Mozilla Fire(bird|fox) does have support for this mechanism, but you have
to get the latest version to use the newly added feature.
