installing firefox 0.9

That's not the file you see above.

Neither is this.

Either use bash's tab completion (or the equivalent in your shell of
choice), or you can just "tar -xzvf fire*".  But read what tar tells
you, and compare to what ls told you.  The filenames really don't
match.
