Which SMC card do you have? I am having "constantly disconnecting from the
WLAN" problem ever since I purchased my SMC PCMCIA card.

Just as a follow up, my trip down to the US was delayed by a few days and I 
managed to pick up a refurbed/repackaged SMC card, that has worked like a 
charm.

Many thanks to those who pointed out the various resources and suggestions
for 
cards.
