I saw this discussion on treeps yesterday and decided to try it out.
It installed on FC1 no problem. Actually, the installation gave an
error which seemed to imply that treeps didn't install, and so I tried
to compile the generic source package. When I went to compile
the program though the configuration script indicated that treeps was
in fact installed. That is, rpm did succeed. I had so much fun playing
with treeps that I forgot to hunt down the problem. So, even though
you got an erroe on installation, check that maybe treeps is actaully
installed.
