You need to have these types in application (under know types):
vnd.sun.xml.calc
vnd.sun.xml.draw
vnd.sun.xml.impress
vnd.sun.xml.math
vnd.sun.xml.writer
vnd.sun.xml.writer.global
For example, if you select vnd.sun.xml.writer, you must have on the right side
(General tab):
Filename pattern: *.sxw
App preference order: StarOffice writer (I have staroffice)
Other tab: use settings for apps group (rest is grey)
It should be very similar for OOo.
Of course another solution is to re-install. But before you delete, think that
the installer detects a previous installation and offers to repair it... That
could be a nice way of recovering your file associations.
Good Luck!
