importing contacts to firebird

My apologies, I did mean Thunderbird. Yes, I can export as Vcards, but 
there is no advantage to doing so. Mozilla and Thunderbird both use the 
same formats, and seeing as Mozilla has been around for a while, I am 
surprised that I am unable to find a program or script that will do the 
conversion.
