WAP <-> Linux

Hi all,

has anyone done anything with Wap and phone-based browsers on Linux ? I am
just starting with this, and I have some problems. Most importantly, my
phone seems unable to enter some characters, like the tilde '~'. There may
be other issues too.

any input would be appreciated,
