Right click menu problem

I am having a problem with the alternate-click menu popping up when I am 
typing.  It seems to happen most (only?) when using KDE based apps (e.g. 
rpmdrake) and I am not even touching the mouse.  I can left-click to get 
rid of it sometimes, but as soon as I satrt typing again, it pops back 
up.  I have tried changing mice and switching from PS/2 to USB to rule 
out hardware issues, but no luck.

I am running Mandrake 9.1 with KDE 3.1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
