Glad you found another way to subtract two values. As someone else 
indicated, you don't need to invoke a formula or procedure (ie. 'sum') to 
do simple math. FYI, 'sum' allows you to add up a range of cells in a 
column or row by specifying only the first and last cell in the range. It 
is just a short cut to avoid having to say something like 
=B3+B4+B5+B6+...+B9+B10.
