macintosh ppclinux: how to get mouse to work?

I guess I shouldn't have jumped the gun so quickly.  If /dev/input/mice
doesn't work, search for /dev/adbmouse.  It should emulate a PS/2 mouse.
Then again, dmesg is suggesting that /dev/input/mice will work.
