Kids these days, everything is abbreviated... In my day, we had to pronounce
it in full, Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy!  The Enlightened Ones were
allowed to refer to it simply as The Guide, but only after consuming copius
amounts of The PanGalactic GargleBlaster.
