PDF files

Dear all,



I am now filling some pdf forms and I have got Adobe Acrobat. I realized that I can only 'edit' existing text, but not able to fill-in spaces in the form. Am I doing something wrong or the application doesn't support it at all. If not, how do people input text into a pdf form.
