No, it doesn't, except insofar as it may accidentally trip over them in
the course of doing its job.  For finding hardware problems, you need
hardware diagnostic programs.  Those are, unfortunately, practically a
lost art in the PC world.  (For one thing, for maximum effectiveness they
need to be specific to the particular hardware involved.)
