[OT] HTML "brag-tag" question

Walter,

   I run a website for a hiking club, http://home.eol.ca/~hgibson/hphc/, and I put the tag on every page that conforms to the strict XHTML DTD.  This matters (to me anyway) because one page is the output from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, and it does not conform.

   I would interpret a tag on the main page as indicating that the entire site conforms.

   If you attach the tag as recommended by W3C, clicking on it causes your site to be validated.  This saves a lot of work.
