Is it an rpm? Run "file file.php", that will tell you if it's actually an RPM
or not. Assuming it is an rpm then just install it "rpm -Uvh file.rpm",
Linux tools generally don't care about file extensions, file extensions don't
generally have magical meanings as in Windows.
