Sooner or later real people will start totally ignoring their patents on a
continuous, systematic basis if this goes on. Apparently they think that
if they invented a little IP game everyone will play along. Obviously they
have no idea how many feet they are threading on when issuing such
patents. Do you realise that that patent may make updating web sites and
certain software packages via ftp script an infringement ?!!!
