<p>1.4GB is actually pretty high for win7. Probably had some Mcafee/Norton security suite and other starts-on-boot crap as well...</p>

I overheard a Canada Computers employee who was helping a mom and daughter who had come in to purchase a notebook that even though the 4GB of RAM was soldered on the motherboard and couldn't be upgraded, 4GB was more than enough for Windows 7. He said, "Look, it's only using 1.4GB for Windows so you have plenty more memory." Ouch!<br>
