With all the virtualization tools, it does not matter if your desktop is Windows, all the servers of course are Tux.<br><br>I have been using Putty and various addons.<br><br>Zoc is a much better terminal product. <br>I dont care that it is commercial. It was worth every penny.<br>
<br>The best feature is the TABS+FOLDERS..You can easily log into hundreds of servers in a second.<br><br>The other nice feature is that I use Dropbox. Your mileage may vary.<br>I put the Zoc Configuration folder on the Dropbox...and no matter where I go...all my servers are ready+configured.<br>
<br>The logs is also a nice feature..It writes every server you login to..into its own log file. <br>Good for reviewing commands and you dont have to login to servers to review logs.<br><br>You know how you have to convert PEM files to PPK with Putty-Gen? <br>
That step is no longer needed with ZOC. Zoc reads the PEM directly...<br>Makes working with Amazon PEMS easy.<br><br>Another feature is the login tab<br>You can tell Zoc to auto log you into your server, drop you right to your shell. This will save you a lot of typing.<br>
<br>It also has a record function.<br>I was using this feature so after it logs you into the the first server, it sshs to another server on a different subnet. <br>Again, much typing saved.<br><br>Anyways, just to let you know..<br>
