Yes, it is a blue ray. These drives can act like a CD-ROM and I loaded
Linux using the Live drive feature and did the install.<br>

I am down to finding the correct driver to use for the CD/Blue ray
drive.<br>

I have seen discussion that Blue ray drives can be played.<br>

There is a project devoted to Linux on the PS3. Test versions of the
8.04 kernel are available.<br>
