With the application KWiFiManager you can configure and monitor your wireless LAN PC-Cards under Linux/KDE.
The application is designed for KDE version 3.x only. For a KDE2 application,
check <a href="http://korinoco.sourceforge.net">the KOrinoco project page</a>.
<br />
The application uses the wireless extensions from Jean Tourilhes. So it should suppert every wireless LAN adapter
that is in the current linux kernels and most cards from the pcmcia-cs package. If you use drivers from
the wlan-ng project for your card, this could be problematic, since these
drivers are not 100% compatible to the wireless extensions. You can
give it a try, anyway. Or you can use the HostAP driver for the same card,
which is WE compatible.

It seems like SourceForge has some problems with its download mirrors. Currently, only the
mirror UNC (US) seems to be able to provide you with the download of kwifimanager-1.0.2.tar.gz.

<p>NEWS: KWiFiManager is going to become part of the official KDE project. Transition to the KDE
CVS has already begun; the Control Center module is no longer in the KWiFiManager repository. It can now
be found at <a href="http://webcvs.kde.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/kdenetwork/wifi/">KDE/kdenetwork/wifi</a>.
As development continues, the main application will follow.</p>

creator of the wireless tools on which KWiFiManager is based.

The project itself is hosted at SourceForge. For SourceForge, "hosting" includes mailing lists,
CVS, web space, bug tracking systems and much more. I am very grateful that they give away their
