My name is Christopher Browne, but I am usually called Chris. I often bring a projector in to GTALUG meetings, courtesy of Afilias Canada, for whom I work as a Database Architect.
I have been using Linux since 1993, and previously was something of a fan of Ultrix when it came with MFCF extensions such as lc.
These days, my main development project is Slony-I, an asynchronous replication system for use with PostgreSQL. I have been particularly responsible for Slony-I documentation, but have implemented a number of extensions to its functionality.
I also have been noted for creating comprehensive lists of software for Linux in such areas as accounting software, spreadsheets, relational databases, and word processors.
I used to be treasurer of NTLUG, the North Texas Linux Users Group, which meets in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
